Ignitor chip extras?

Ignitor chip extras?
Hey ive got my s13 redtop installed in my '90 fastback and recieved an ignitor chip. The chip was mounted to its plate with two small canisters with several vaccum lines coming off them. I was wondering their purpose and if they are needed. I have heard varying things and just looking for it to be cleared up here. thanks
