Injector Upgrade Options

I'd like to sticky this post and have some relaible info on injector upgrades. I'm looking for what they come from, CC's of flow, and high/low impedence. I'm not talking about HKS or aftermarket parts, but stock ones from other cars that can be made to fit. Let's see what you've got for:

CA18DET
SR20DET
RB20DET
RB25DET

I've researched several sites and found conflicting info on what kind of injectors to use in my RB20, so I'd prefer info from 1st hand experience.

The RB20 ECU requires high impedence top feed injectors to limit the current to the ecu...so you can use:
- high impedence injectors and standard ECU OR
- low impedence with resistor pack, and std ECU. As impedence of (low impedence injector + resistor pack) equated to using high impedence injectors, the ECU doesnt know any better.

my choicec would be a s5 tII injectors

I ended up getting the 465cc high impedence part #195500-1350 I bought 6 from ebay in 2 auctions cost me $80 shipped for all of them. I have 270's now and I'm almost at their limit, so I think the 465's will be fine. The 465 rating is also at 80% duty cycle not maxed. It's only a RB20 I think 550's might not idle very good.

what kind of fuel management are you using? if your not using one...

i will have a eprom tune done soon for the rb20 that will make it idle like stock and it will help your Hp of course and fuel consumption

I just have a stock ECU and a Apex-i AFC, when I get all setup with parts I like I'm planning on a JWT retune-they have a stage 3 tune($600) for my setup that will support 520HP at 28PSI

I got the injectors ohm meter says they are low impedence, so I think I will be adding resistors. I'll have to see if I can get a couple of honda resistor box units to gut.

I don't have aim sorry I got tired of the pop-ups it kept hitting me with.

Z32 dropping resistor should work...I think it is the same!

resistores should be between power source & injectors

Battery-resistor-injector-ECU-ground

The ECU takes care of grounding the whole thing

These are N/A injectors, easier to find and cheaper. Don't think I need 550's.

what is the resistance do you need to add to them? just 10 ohm? what are the Z32 dropping resistors, and what resistance value are they?
