intake manifold removal

intake manifold removal

Well, i was just wondering if anybody knows the easyest way to remove the stock intake manifold from my rb25, i got my greddy in and i wanna put it on, but the stock one looks like a ***** to take off so i was just wondering if theres any secret to taking it off..

take the upper plenum off the lower runners first
then remove the runners from the head
it IS a ***** to take off while the engine is in the car, but out it should take about 1 hours to completely remove it.

I think there are 8 bolts that hold the upper plenum on..... Jon correct me if I'm wrong. One is a pain in the *** to get off but other than that its not that bad.

yeah, thats what i thought, it looks to me if i remove the throttle body and all that mess i may be able to get in there and remove the upper, unfortunatly the motor is in the car..

I havent even started yet, i need to get a heater for my gradge, but im not gonna touch my car till it warms up a lil but, here in st.louis, its only like 16 degrees during the day and like 7 at night right now...
