i was wondering on the legalities on swapping your engine into a 240sx 89-93. Such as the rb or sr, does anyone have the knowledge of these laws, any and all replies are appreciated

 

Both are completely 50 state illegal.

how is that you get caught? do they pull you over for say speeding and tell you to pop the hood? are you fined or is ur license suspended or what? would it be a good idea to invest in a fuzz buster, or just risk it? damn pigs

i live in ohio and the cops around here bust people on loud systems, none working lights and cold air intakes made from scratch, so i suppose your right, but some one always knows just enough to srew you.

If you're worried about being caught just buy a blacktop or paint a redtop black or silver... Much less noticable.

 

u could but i love the look of the redtop, that color is really sweet, love to get my car painted that color

 

lol.. I dont know, I had a redtop painted KA, and swapped to a blacktop SR, you can notice a MAJOR difference.

the SR is WAY bigger than the KA, and it doesnt look like ****.

 

im going to test DE by dec. because im putting a rb in and then going through inspection because i dont feel like buying a new starter for my ka

 

i live in VA and here they have state inspections that are very thorough and i was wondering if anyone knew if they'd bust you for an engine swap that way.
