Nice, I would do something like that but not worth it when I can throw a RB26 or a 2JZ in there since I don't have a spare LS1 lying around.

how much can an rb26 produce on stock internals?
I would be its less than an LS1... not trying to start a war here, but i think its cool that the motor weighs less than stock, has more HP and TQ than stock, and can get better from there.

LS1 is a pretty crazy conversion, they make mount kits for it now

yes! that would be teh sex.
I saw a video of a 240z with a supercharged LS1, and he could be rollin down the highway, then punch it and roast em! wow thats power.

I dont see why someone doesnt try to swap in something from other nissans... like the vq45 (i think?) the one that came in the infity ... something... all i remember is its a massive v8

Everyone's all like "SR20 is teh ex! w00t" and "rb25 owns joo!"

But really, theres better things out there, ya just gotta try

You can easily Get 700out of a stock RB26 and easily get 800-900 out of a 2jz but you missed my point, I don't have LS1's laying around to do the swap. What i would not give to have the sound of that LS1 right next to a SR powered S14 just for sound sake.

no, no im not bashing the rb and 2jz.. dont get me wrong... id give my left nut for any of the three motors. Im just saying that its really cool cuz nobody does it, and theres a LOT of potential there that not too many people think about

technology only goes so far....

Oh wait, this is starting to look familiar!

Could it be? oh yes, the last 2 posts (including mine) were identical posts in a thread discussing the pros and cons of KA vs. SR.

Im not trying to say that your rb26s are weaksauce. I would love to have an RB, but i would rather have something with parts readily available here in the states
