Need help on choosing a a swap.

My bro just got the 240 i was dying to buy b4 i got my type s. and after riding in my best friends new SRT-4 i've decided that this car needs to be boosted. I know the SR20DET is the most popular swap for this car. But which one would be the best...u know the black top or red top etc. we have a shop here in winter park FL that is supposed to be good for these swaps.

I want to know what would be the best considering potential, price, reliabilty, etc. We want to go as far as we can without having to do too much internal work.

any help is appreciated

thanks

Amen, espically when u said go as far as possible with out changing the internals, the RB25 is probably the best choice for u, they can hold up to or around 450HP. I dont know much bout the CA so i cant really comment on that. What kind of HP u looking for SiNDC5?

i think running mid to low 13s wouldnt be too bad. and maybe high 12s if he were to crank up the boost. fast is good...but not to where he's gonna kill himself. i dont want boost to kick in during a turn and the back tires just break out.

so whatever horspower can get those numbers, and also not end up with dead brother.

i think an SR20det is probably the best but which one?

if u can find the parts then go for the RB, im sure u can get to the 12's with the RB with sum tuning and sum aftermarket parts.
