well ive been doing alot of reading. spending alot for the sr20 is out of my league. but building a dohc engine from a stock s14(?) to replace the s13 sohc that in the 90 im probably ending up with is more on. what things swap across from these engines and their japenese counterparts? i have access to a machine shop and all so labor would be next to nothing. just paying for parts. i want turbo of course. i have a freind that know tuning for turbos, but an opinion from you guys works great to. id like to have a 12second ish car on dr's but be ok for daily driving. also i have a friend wo works at a wrecking yard. any parts i can look for there as opposed to big money new stuff?

 

tons of turbos able to be had in junkyards saabs mr2's trucks lots of stuff then at that machine shop have them make u custom manifold and IC piping and exhaust

 

KA doesnt have a performance counter part in japan or anywhere else.

Buy an SR. Or a CA. those are cheaper.
