Right now I have a 1989 240 with an automatic transmission. I am interested in doing an RB20 swap. Now I have done a lot of research on it and I think I have a list of all the stuff I will need but I have a question. If I am going to swap in the rb's tranny am I going to need to get a a manual trans driveshaft from another 240? Am I also going to need to get a manual trans crossmember as well? But anyways, just wondering if someone who has done this swap has any input. Thanks.

 

well i went from manual to manual, but i still had to buy a new transmission crossmember, motor mounts, and i had to measure to get my driveshaft made.

 

the S14 drive shaft might work. I know it will connect to the rb tranny fine. but idk if its the right length.

Tophatperformance.com has a motor mount and tranny crossmember set that they sell. I used them and they work great
