how much hp is capable on a rb25/20 with stock bottem end? i hear there pretty bullet proof but was wanting a good guestimate, and how much hp can the stock injectors/turbo manage?

 

The turbo that comes on the RB's is good for quick spooling but maxes out pretty early around 12-14PSI. I saw some #'s from a internally stock RB20 making 316whp with 16 PSI, only upgrades were a 3" dp/exh, fuel pump, and T3 turbo. he said any higher boost the stock injectors maxed out. There's so few RB25's I'm not sure what people have put out with them, but I'd say at least 325-350hp.

 

I have only heard of RB25's hitting 450RWHP on the stock bottom end with room to spare.

As for RB20s...400 max reliable

 

So far as I have heard, the US record for stock internals on an RB25 is 586HP at the wheels.

 

586 isnt to bad, what turbo upgrades are prefered for the rb25?

 

Big ones....depends on your goals.

 

haha nice, will those new garrett turbos work, the ones who spool incredibly early?

 

the shop where i get most my parts from have a skyline 2.5gtst and they put down 389 at the wheels reliably, they had it in the 4 hundred range, but it was leaning out to bad, so they had to bring it down, the are running an hks turbo, not srue wich one maybe 3825??? i dont know if thats right or not thoug, but not to bad, they have more stuff on order that there gonna install...
