I put the engine first then the trans, if I had to do it again I would HIGHLY recommend assembling them then installing from the bottom up. Trans is a PAIN once the engine is in the car. You hace to turn it upside down and spill all the fluid out then rotate it once you get the input shaft in place. HUGE PAIN. Wiring I probably have 40-50 hours in research and wiring. I used the RB gauge and wired all the 240 items to it(seatbelt, gas level, door open) All is functional except the speedo(mechanical speed sensor from R32-Electric speedo from R33)

Im thinking im ganna do the engine first then hook up the trans. It might be a pain in the *** but oh well..i dont wanna take the risk of doin the drop together. And is there any way for the speedo to work? because i think ill be needing that haha. Is ur tach workin?
EDIT: you do this with friends or by urself?

Everything works except A/C (working on it) and speedo(need new speed sensor for trans). I used the Skyline gauges and cut out the cluster bezel from the 240 to fit the new cluster. I did all the work by myself except the body work and painting(I work in a bodyshop and had the guys there do it REAL cheap about $100 for everything, PPG sponsored me on the paint)

you can wire in s seperate tach......not as easy as it sounds..but it will work.
speed is another thing
you have to get a meter that runs off the sensor signal not the ecu's....
