I have the entire drivetrain sitting here from R32 GTR, it's the RB26DETT. Unfortunately it's just demand and supply like everything else, and it's just what they go for it's not like the importers are getting fat off them, I know I'm not anyway. Why not a 4wd SR20 swap from the GTI-R instead if it's going in an Altima?

You know i thought of that. The one from the Bluebird. One because it has been done before by a couple people. I would want something more unique. I am still thinking about it. Either way i would be getting n RB20. I want that feeling that you get when you are the first or second person to do something. I mean could you imagine people reactions when an Altima with an old Skyline motor beats 5.0 or Camero.

But none the less, that would be an awesome sleeper.
You have probably seen Altimas with the FWD SR20DET in them, not RWD....if you have seen RWD, I would really like to see that also.

Altimas.net
I am a member there and i know there are a couple people that have done a RWD SR20DET swap
Kraackmysnick or something like that, is one of them, the thread on his instal has like 1000 posts. And i know there is someone running arounf with a KA24DE with a GTi-r transmission.

Another question.
The stock RB20 runs 10psi.
When i upgrade the turbo to a T3-60 or something around this size with a 57 compressor. I know i can drive it @10 , but when i want to run it on the track what can the engine handle.

Will i need new valve train equipment.
How much can the pistons and rods take.
That and i know on some engines the crankshaft can dip pretty far into the oil pan, and that some people shave off a little bit to reduce drag.

I plan on port/polish and hone the block, port match the intake mani, 3 angle valve job, new radiator, clutch, flywheel.

One last thing, where can i get a turbo manifold

I checked it out, not calling you a liar and not picking a fight, but "krackmnkysnick", after 14 pages of reading anyway...I never finished reading it all.....is using a G20 FWD trans & axles. I have NEVER seen a RWD Altima.....I have seen in other countries an AWD Bluebird similar to the U13 Altima, but never a plain RWD Altima.

My bad. I though that he was doing a RWD drive swap. Well i guess not then. I am positive that i read that someone was doing or had already done a RWD swap one because i remember reading on how much of a B**** it was to install the tranny and work on the new rear end. That i am sure of, now i do not remember for the life of me who that was, heck i'm not even sure he he ever finshed it. Now he might be the only one and thats it, i will try to find him just to see how it went, not to prove you wrong or anything. I do appreciate the fact that you didnt go all "you'r a liar and blah blah blah" on me. Most people would just go off.

Every day i think about how i should do the RB in the Altima and how kick *** that would be.

Well i gots to go. But i will be back later.

What the hell are you guys thinking?

That is a disasterous project.

Custom engine bay
Custom fenders
Custom hood
Custom firewall
Custom floor
Custom rear suspension
Custom front suspension

It is JUST NOT WORTH IT.

Hey i know this ganna sound stupid but the maxima in japan was the cerfio. That came with a rwd rb20det. Can the american maximas be converted to rwd using the A31 crossmeber and a rear diff and axels, etc. Just a random thought i had the other day.

That is it! I am doing an RB26dett swap into my Jeep Cherokee and keep all the all wheel drive stuff. I might change the suspension to the independent suspension. Get some radical offset wheels and drift it. That would be the first Jeep to drift on asphalt.

I guess I'd better start to learn how to weld.
Now that would be stupid.

RWD conversions are becoming kind of trendy. I have seen a few RWD Civic conversions. The SR is a popluar swap int them.

BTW is the RB20 conversion running yet?

Been running GREAT for a long time now. I'm modding it as my time and budget allows. RX-7 Injectors and 300ZX AFM are going in soon. Why don't you bring your SR car here so I can stomp its A$$?
