yank the ka cross member out and bolt the rb cross member in. It's really not that hard. Lower the rb in and bolt the rb mounts to the cross member with the tranny attached. Bolt the tranny cross member in and stab the driveshaft. Connect all the wires on the rewired harness. Connect all the vaccum lines. Fill all the fluids and prep the motor to start.

It's really an easy swap

Stock KA mounts? They won't line up man, the RB mounts are different.

Get all the stupid crap done before you put the motor in. Get the sensors off the ka tranny and put them on the rb tranny before you put it in. The crossmember is a slight ***** to get out so just be patient with it. Just try to get as much done as you can with the engine out of the car

id have to take pics for you when i get the chance, but all you do is extend the stock bracket or just make a custom one that will move the cable closer to the throttle body

Yea I just took a piece of basically that metal strip that they use to hang ducting and cut a short piece of it. Bent it into an L shape and notched out the side. Bolted it where the old bracket was and called it a day. Works great ill take pictures eventually

thread starter..installing the engine is very very easy.

yes change the crossmeber.. this what i did...

i bolted my r32 crossmember to my rb20.

i yanked out all my ka crap..

i had my car high up in the air on jackstands..

then i placed my rb20det engine/bolted on the crossmember already.. i sat the engine on a dolley and i rolled the engine under the car...

then i used my engine hoist to pull it up in the bay.. and bam it was sooo easy to line it up... and bolted in the crossmeber to the chassie..

easy!!! took less than 20 mins to put the engine in.

and edit.. ka mounts dont' work.. they suck anyways why re-use them. lol
