RB20DET 1/4 times

A friend of mine finally ran his 90 240SX at Mission (Vancouver B.C.), with one of our RB20DET swaps in it. Stock except for a front mount, dowpipe and 14PSI he ran a 13.3 at 103.9MPH. Best part was his 1.9s 60ft time! Clutch was stock and was slipping a little in 3rd. Tires were BFG drag radials he borrowed they were way too tall, like 70 series 15". We think that with lower profile tires and a new clutch it will see 12's. Other people with swaps and 1/4 times feel free to post. I will add a slip pic when he stops by again and I have my camera.

heres a car in MD, post taken off of turboforum.net

There is an S13 in MD that has an RB25 swap and went 10.9 and 10.8 .
Motor is stock internals/head/cams/headgasket. He is running an SDS standalone. Custom intake manifold and exhaust manifold. I am not sure what size turbo or how much boost it took. He dynoed 445 whp the week before he ran. On friday he broke both his axles on his launch. He was running a stock S13 welded diff with big slicks. He has an R33 rear end to swap in and we will see if he can go deaper into the 10's.

........................

I ran a 13.7@99 in my Rb20 at the track. might have been a lil quicker if my overboost protection didn't go off on my evc4. The boost was at 11psi and it spiked to 14psi which is where I have the over boost protection set at. It kicked in when I shifted into 3rd gear http://www.3rdgearvtec.net/Andys%20V...b20attrack.wmv crappy video. I used BFG's too and cut a low 1.9. I think I could get a lower 60' with more practice. My other pass was a 14.04@100 with a 2.3 60'. Stock turbo, untuned PFC running off the base map, downpipe, greddy PE2 exhaust and stock sidemount interheater.

Ya, most people zoom all the way in and then expect they can move real fsat without zooming out. Oh well. Nice run by the way.

The only other time I have is another friends SR20 redtop swap.

Stock S13 Redtop
3" Downpipe
80mm Exhaust
stock VLSD

14 PSI on stock T25

1/4 mile 13.6sec
Don't know 60ft time or trap speed

The RB20/25 have huge potential with a turbo upgrade. My mass airflow sensor kept maxing out, but in warm up mode(computer wouldn't catch it) it would pull soo hard. The guy with this SR20 S13 and I did a 3rd gear drop side by side on the freeway, and I pulled him by almost 6 carlengths! Then when I grabbed 4th my charge pipe blew off. I was running a T3/T4 .57 compressor and .63 Exhaust, at about 13 PSI. Never raced it just sold it because I have a RB25 project going together.

We ran my buddies SR 240, with at the time just had S15 turbo, HKS manifold, Greddy front mount, S15 480 injectors, SAFCII, Greddy pullies, 3 inch Greddy DP, Greddy turbo elbow, HKS 2.5 inch exhaust, stock open diff, 8lbs boost, very ****ty tires, I got it down to a 13.3@106mph with a 2.1 60'. In my RB 240, just a RB20, intake, exhaust and a Blitz ECU, with a 2.7 60' shifting at 6K because I was on stock fuel pump and my stock fuel filter was clogged up causing the car to fall on it's face past 6K I ran a 14.7@97mph, stock boost. I never got to run it again after I added a boost controller, and 255lph fuel pump and z32 fuel filter, but I was pulling on all motor civics that trapped 99mph and 102mph, by about 4-6 cars from a stop.

Another post on a swap I just sold out of the shop a week ago. S13 Blacktop installed into a 90 fastback, stock except for HKS filter and exhaust, stock boost.

14.1s 1/4 mile.

I can add 60ft and trap speed when I see the slip

Nismo421 I don't understand why your buddy would drop all that money on mods and run open diff? I'm surprised it went that fast on one wheel wonder.
