If you have the money for it, RB25 all the way. It will be costing you a lil above 5k, and thats with installing it yourself and a few extra things. While a RB20 install can cost ya less then 3k and thats with installing it yourself

I have 1 RB20DET clip in stock for $1900...shipping is about $500 anywhere in the US...that's about it for costs on the install....maybe like $100 in fluids and misc crap.

I'd prefer the 20 over the 25, mainly cause of the cost effectiveness. It costs about the same dollar wise, to get the RB20 installed and running around the same HP as the factory RB25, with that you'll be running more effeciently cause you'll probably have a front mount, and you get higher revvs and less weight. Most people dump 3K+ on a red top DET and make less HP than the RB20DET stock, and I completed my RB20 swap for under 2K. Spending 3K on less HP just isn't practical IMO, most people with SR's aren't over 300whp, and are mainly around 250 or so, which is very easy to get out of the 20 for the same cost as RB25 and SR20. It just seems smarter to me to go RB20.

what are the weight differences between the SR20DET, RB20DET & RB25DET? i fear the rb25det may have a tendency to understeer moreso than the other 2L ... eager to learn

yeah but you might have to hook up your battery to the trunk in order to get the a/c hooked up.

I know that there is a 65 weight difference between the rb25det and the sr20det (rb being the heavier one) but I'm not sure about the rb20....i'm assuming that the rb20 is lighter than both of them....but i could be wrong.

Okay lemme correct my mistake

rb20 weighs 25-45 lbs more than the sr20
rb25 weighs 45-65 lbs more than the sr20
rb25 weighs 20-30 lbs more than the rb20

Pro is about right, the differnece in weight is really not even there. You will probably be seeing 54/46 weight distribution, 55/45 AT THE MOST. Put the battery in the rear, no ac and a CF hood and you will be set.
