RB25det is in, pictures (Dialup beware)

it was nothing short of a ***** and a half, but its in now...

here are some more pics, specifically of the motor height, 1st, neutral, and 3rd gear and how it sits in the shifter hole. Its not DEAD ON center but pretty close, and you can see by the gear positions that its just fine... all in all i recommend the mckinney kit to anyone, my steering column clears, havn't checked the sway bar yet, the shifter positioning is good, all i had to do was grind out the holes for the tranny mount a tad bit to get it to work and they say that in their instructions so its all good.

Oh and i also stripped one of the rubber isolator bolts on the right side mount and they shipped me 2 out for free (i payed the shipping) ... great guys to work with.

Good luck on the wiring lol

Looks great so far, looks like the mckinney mounts worked great.

Hey that looks good. I'm curious how the swap will fit in a S13 though, but looks good in your car. I'm curious did you install the engine by itself and then the trans from underneath, or the whole thing at once?

should fit the same in an s13, the mckinney mounts are for both s13 and s14... i assembled the entire thing and pulled it up then bolted the crossmember into place, then the tranny x-member, and so on...

Ok so you loaded it from the bottom...IC. Being the crossmember has to come out anyway sounds like the best way to go. BTW for whoever asked there's a S13 that runs at the drags in Canada just an hour from here mid 13's stock boost on good street tires.

my next container is on the water now, normally business as usual but this one contains my RB20 clip BTW I've been searching about good turbo upgrades for the RB and I haven't found squat, any ideas? T3/T4, T3/60-1?

im probably going with a t3/t4 but not sure on the exact one yet... 300-350rwhp is my goal and a t3/t4 will bolt right up and get to that hp pretty easily on the rb25...

is there a guide on how to swap them out including wiring? or are you just going off of general Hack and slash install ?

i'm not using any guides really, theres an s13>rb25 install guide by Jon Powell and one in super street for s14>rb25 but they are both pretty vague and just a basic overall guides...

everything but the wiring is pretty straight forward, we'll see how hard the wiring is when i get to it
