rb26det

I was just wondering if it was possible to put a rb26 in a 89 240sx and keep the awd tranny and convert the chassis to awd or would you need to through in a rwd tranny as well. How much extra work does it take to put a rb26 into a 240sx with a sohc or any other rb or sr engine?

Thanks

AFAIK, the AWD thing would be out the window, i've seen people stick RB25DET's in S13 240's with About a inch and a half leeway from the rad, But they remined RWD..

im sure if you though a **** load of money, and chassis mod's at the car, it will eventaully work

With a lot of money, anything is possible. How much? I'm thinking...10k with engine. Maybe even more!

The rb26 fits with the RB25 tranny, takes the same modifictions needed like the RB25 to fit it well(except wiring, wiring is a B1TCH!).

RWD R34=RB25DET(I'm pretty sure)

So a rwd R34 would'nt have a RB26...all RB26's are AWD
