Anyone heard of this? Would the install be like a rb26 or rb25

The install would be harder than either because Nissan never made an RB30DET(DOHC). They did make an RB30ET(SOHC) but to make it RB30DET you have to modify a bunch of stuff to make the head compatible with the 3.0L block. The 3.0 block is also taller so even with the McKinney mounts from what I understand you will STILL have to shred your hood.

Wiring wise it should be the same.

i rad around and they said that they usa the rb25det block with the head off of some truck in australia. i was thinking if they use the same blaock then the only thing to worry about is the head right.

i think the rb30 is a hybrid motor made from the rb series motors with the rb25 head depending..dont quote me on that. im guessing wich type of rb30 you get determines the install

RB30E & RB30ET is a legitamate production motor from Nissan

The RB30DET dual overhead cam is a hybrid with the 25 or 26 head with RB30 block

cruise over to nico and check out a guy named PROJECTRB240SX or MUSICSURFMAN (whichever name he's going by, nowadays). last time i checked, he was in the process of doing one.

My guess is that it is a punched out RB30...
