is there a difference? i mean besides the 15 hp? also, i was told that you can put a sr20det from an s13 into an s14, i just want to make sure he's not feeding me a ton of bs.

First off, yes its possible to do a S13 SR into a S14 swap. There a few differences..but only 2 come to my head, bigger turbo and different head I belive. Oh and most if not all run OBDII..S13 SRs run OBDI.
