S14 SR20 into a S13

So my question is it worth the extra couple hundred dollars to buy the S14 SR instead of the S13? The S14 is rated at 220 hp, and the S13 is 205 or something. I'm planning on upgrading pretty much everything, including the turbo, IC, fuel system, everything. So is it worth it, is there anything thing that make it harder to put the engine in the S13 or is it basically the same thing?

If you are going to go replacing everything , then no not really going to be worth it. S14 has variable valve timing and differences in the head that CAN limit you to what cams you will use. S13 can be cheaper but they are older.

Short answer is, go with a S13 if you are going to be replacing everything anyways.

i went with the s14 into my s13 because I read somewhere that the s15 6speed tranny will fit onto my s14 engine (i think i will need the s15 rear end aswell). eventually i'll probably do this.

plus the engine is newer which is nice and looks better in my opinon. don't be cheap just get the s14

hell yeah I heard it blows. makes alot of noise and can't handle horsies. It sure would be nice to have a 6-speed though. I'll just get a holinger sequential. haha.
