sad but not...20k bucks to spend

hello all

I am about to sell my sr20swap and my s15 conversion

My grandma died a couple weeks ago...and left each my sister and I a little over 20k bucks. So i have decided to go all out and get the rb26dett and go that way...also decided to stick with my pop up lights...

Questions:

Best place to get rb26?

What would you like to see done to an s13 that isnt done often?

Im trying to do something different....

do yourself a favor and put half of it in the bank. its a terrible loss, no doubt. but i have a feeling you may regret spending it all on a car.

what he said, 10k could make you an sr or rb25 with about 500hp, why do you anything more?

yea man...keep the sr and build it...with only 10 k to spend and save the other 10.....putting 20k into something that loses value isnt worth it...

yea i agree with everyone else don't dump all you money into a car, and with 10K in your SR, you will have a 240 that will rape a corvette and most other cars out there. Not just that, RB26 are capable of more hp than beyond your imagination, but there is a point where all that power becomes useless in a 240, so keep the SR.

Really sorry for your lost man. I don't know your age and your situation(school, work, etc) but if I were you, I would keep all the money in a bank account for futur investments (down payment for a house, university if you are not yet there). This would be the smartest thing you could do.

I am very sorry for your loss. I dont think she would want to see you waste the money away like that. You should only use 5k if that. You dont need a stupid crazy car. Save the money for something necessary like a house ( unless you have one already).

Different usually means EXPENSIVE. As far as different in RB26 in S13, My shop has 2 S13s that are currently getting RB26's dropped in.

Is there such a thing as different with 240 engine swaps now-a-days? And if it is different does that make it better that no one thought of it or worse because people thought about, and decied against, doing a swap.

Sorry for ur lose man. everyone has the right ideas here. i mean there have been so many different things goin on with 240s now. i mean the way i look at it, if u can think of it, it has probably already been done. save some of ur money and spend no more than 10k. i mean with 10k under the hood, u can have one mean car. as far as visuals, that stuff is up to u. i saw the whole, s13 silvia conv. and the s15 conv. but i thought to myself "hmm i haven't seen an s14 conv on a 240 hatch" after lookin online, those are about as rare as ants are at a picnic. maybe look at other cars and try to combine ideas. that might work.
