Hey guys,

How hard is it to wire an S13 SR20DET Black top into an S14 1998 240SX usdm? The swap came with the ecu, but no harness. Im about to pick up a new harness but wondering how possible the wiring will be.

Get the wiring diagram for both the SR and US S14, then splice the ones needed, also lengthen the ones needed. You might have some problems though because the S14 wiring is a lot more complecating from what I hear. Good luck!

 

Courtesy Nissan sells s13 wiring harnesses new. From what I gather, they go fast.

S14 harnesses are like gold. Good luck finding one. Also, I'd highly recommend a shop like Phase2 or Heavy Throttle do it for you because S14 SR wiring has become a sort of a guarded industry secret among engine swappers. I knew one guy who did it himself, but he took his sweet time (nine months).

But if you're good with a multimeter, you should be good.

Edit: The FSM is wrong half the time. Literally.
