Well now i got a question.. is there anything i should be looking at when i buy the KA from the junk yard the dude sellin it to me says it is in good condition... so should i get anything checked out when i bring it home?? Is $350 a good price for a 89 KA24E?? Will the transmission from my 90 KA24E work with my 89 KA24E??

check the headgasket, may as well replace it while ur at it with a metal one..clean it good so that if it has any oil leaks when u get it running ull spot them..350 isnt bad, but ive seen ka's go for almost nothing, then again who knows the condition..no difference from 89-90

 

Ok then, When my old KA went out i thought it would be the timing chain so i changed it should i take the timing chain out of it and replace it into the new motor?? Would it be smart to change the exhaust headers now?? is the Ebay exhaust header and cat-back any good?? Thanks for the help

 

Wow 350 for a KAE... thats a lot. You should be able to get a KADE for that price.

 

The KA24e I just bought only has 82,000 Miles on it so i dont think its that bad for the motor.. And the motor is from '89
