front suspension/drive noise / diagnosing question .. help!
Hello,
just wondering if anyone can provide some insight into this. lately i've had a "creaking" sound in my front suspension. i notice it most of the time when i'm slowing down and i've noticed it when turning into my drive and going straight. i can really only describe as a "creak".
i had similar sounding problems on my subaru and they changed the front axle because it was binding.
the 240 doesn't have that, so i'm thinking it's either the spindle, ball joint, or hub, or all of the above. i changed the tension rod bushings last summer, so i don't think it would be them
any help / insight is greatly appreciated.
thanks!

thanks, i was talking to my friend and he said that the polyurethane after a while can make noises too. that's what i put on the tension rods (the bushings from pdm racing).
i might deal with it now unfortunately :-/

I had the same problem when my tension rod bushings broke.
Usually if they are not ruined (since you just replaced them), then it is because they were not greased properly/thoroughly enough
Just regrease them and you will be fine, or bust out your wallet and buy some ball type tension rods
---Useless but cool pic of my tension rod bushing ---

Very efficient right?
