well i'm not all that familiar with the ka motor but i hear the block is very strong, my question is, is the sr20det block stronger then the ka24e and if not can or has anyone done an sr20det head and all its turbo parts with a ka24e block.

another question. i know that the the ka24e has weaker internals, so does that mean the strenght of the block is just the basic block with out internals?

reason i'm asking these questions is b/c i hear some people say the ka24e makes for a better turbocharged motor then the sr20det, is it true and if so why?

 

well.. an sr20det is a turbo charged motor.... the ka24de isnt.. the sr20det is a shorter block engine, thats why if you see some one that did a swap, they will have alot more room then the stock ka24de so you cant use sr20det parts on the ka24de, although a turbo is a turbo, you will just need different down pipes or what ever...
