sr20det Wire ground smoking

Ok i have a question for everyone i just finished my sr20det swap and i went to turn it on and the body ground that connects to the shock tower which is the alternator ground, started smoking and the car doesnt turn over and then when i take the ground off the starter clicks clicks. what could be causing this? any suggestions would help thanks.
And it also just got a new headgasket installed and new tomei procam cams and the timing has been set.

actually i fixed the problem and now it turns over but wont start. Im getting fuel and the timing is correct and im getting spark but im not getting spark on the first cylinder which its not the coil its the wiring so its my igniter chip but i dont think one coil being out is going to stop my car from running it would just run like crap.

recheck your timing

also do a compression test

your car will sound like a subaru with 1 coil pack out. but i will start if everything else is in order.
