SR20DET vs. RB25DET
Hey everyone. I just recently bought a 91 240sx hatch, and it is in dire need of a swap. So can anyone tell me the better swap, and why? I want a Street and Track day car, that handles well and is just plain FAST. And another question. I have been pricing engines, and ask this: if a rb25det cost on the avrage 3500 and requires a lot of fabrication and alot more money, and a s15 sr20det costs about the same and comes with a 6 speed tranny, and they both put down 250 hp, why go with the rb? the sr should be lighter, right? I am ignorant about this all, and thats why I am asking. So if anyone could help, I would greatly appriciate it.

amazing what you can do with searching http://www.club240.com/forums/showth...&threadid=4630 Why do you need so much power, the KA isnt as bad as people think. BTW unless you got 8 grand or more, you dont wanna go S15 SR..its a ***** and a waste of money IMO

why not an s13 sr, it's ~2500, 205 rwhp stock, and easily upgradeable to 250. Fits right in, unlike the RB's, and not a pain in the *** like i'm told the s15 sr is. Ignorance isn't an excuse, hyjnx's post should help. For either one you're gonna need some more $$ put into it, and some custom fabrication, wherwas the s14 sr fits right in, and you'll have 1000-2000 to upgrade it.
