hi, im new to the RWD side of nissan. ive been through the whole DET thing with the 200sx se-r's and such. great fun but im getting into a drifter project. im getting all of my products through jgycustoms because they were good to me the first time. my question is what are the best/most popular stand alone EMS's out there? what should i be looking at around the $800 to $1000 range? i searched prior to this thread but didnt find much. TIA

 

MoTeC M4s are always great..but VERY pricey. haltech is cheaper but not as many functions. Search around the internet for those 2. There is always Power FC or Greddy e-manage.

 

Emanage is not stand alone...go with the TEC III...pretty sweet on my friend's WRX...Is power FC stand alone? Maybe HKS Pro V...a lot of good piggys out there

ok so help me out guys. my plan was to get the $1200 motor and tranny from JGY. now would i be better off getting the whole swap for $2300 (plus the other perf. goodies)? or getting the $1200 motor and tranny and getting a stand alone? BTW... i wrote haltech and they sent me a complete list of everything included and and price list. didnt know if u guys would want me to post all of it for later use.

 

Hmmm, if ya got the money id go for the front clip. but if ur struggling a lil and know where to get the other parts ya need then go for the motor set.

 

yeah i know some sites to get front clips but where would be my best bet to get a "good condition" clip. i would like to do the front end conversion as well and if i could get some good body panels that would be a plus. or is it a you get what u pay for situation through pretty much any importer?

 

You can ask a company to see if they can get ya a front clip with good condition panels and lights. Its hard to find and will cost ya a lil more. Night seems to ahve some good clips lately, srswap.com, venus auto aint that bad.
