Question Stock injectors and Stock MAFS on programed ecu??

hey ya'll i bought my engine (s13 blacktop) and it came with a ecu my brother in law told me it was programed already and its rated at 14psi... he was telling me that i needed a bigger mafs and bigger injectors to run the engine normal... but i heard of ppl boosting 13lbs on every thing stock and nothing ever happen to their motors.. so i was wondering if i could just use my stock mafs and injectors cuz that would save $$$ if ne body has been in this situation before please tell me what u ended up doing and how it went about.. or if u just have personal knowledge

You should not have a problem running 14lbs. except for on the turbo. If you run it all the time you will dog the crap out of the t25 I personally running 13 lbs and have stock injectors on stock maf.

Might want to find out exactly what the ECU was programmed for. It could be 14 psi on a bigger turbo, Z32 MAF and bigger injectors. Alot different than 14psi on the T25. But with a stock ECU you do not need to upgrade anything to run 14psi except the fuel pump.

I belive he has the "black top" witch if I'm correct has a t-28 not a T-25. So it should hold up 14psi (max).

Yea you need to find out wat the ecu was programmed for. Otherwise i wouldnt use it. If it was tuned for bigger injectors and/or bigger turbo and/or Z32 MAF you could blow your engine.

W/ a stock ecu (or ecu tuned for stock turbo and injectors) you can run 13-14 PSI on stock injectors as long as you have an FMIC. On the stock Sidemount I wouldnt go above 10 PSI.

you also need to find out how big of injectors it was tuned for if it was infact tuned for larger injectors.
