Swapping ECU

Swapping ECU
I just droped my SR in my 90 240sx and ws hooking up the ECU....The SR wire came with a female connector and the wire that runs from my dash down has the same connector. Can i cut the end off the SR wire and turn it into a male? what do i need to swap?
