transmission type on an sr20det
im planning to swap my engine with a sr20det redtop

Here

it comes with a 5sp manual transmission.. can i use my current automatic transmission or would i need to purchase a new one??

no KA trannies do not work with sr engines u can buy auto sr trannies for decently cheap
