V8 swaps
lol i totally thought i was posting in this topic earlier...but if u want my thoughts go back to your orgional ford 302 idea. I plan on doing it myself soon. Get one from an old fox body stang 79-84 or 84-93. those years are the best. personally im getting one out of a lincoln or possibly trying a 351 out of a build up somone tried on a foxbody. should be able to get it for about 200 or so. but the reason i chose a ford over a chevy was becuase the max torqe doesnt come in till like 3200 rpm so that means you'll get better traction to start out with unlike an lt1 wich has another 40 foot pounds of torque but at 2000 rpm. so that means instant spinnage and loss of control..lol. plus its gonna be carburated. forget all that computer b.s. and go with straight power. aftermarket parts are everywhere if u want to build it up. but before u take it down the road definatly get a good set of wide tires/rims and beef up the suspension. the extra weight will destroy stock suspension. plus you are gonna replace the tranny, and prolly rear end. no prob just like 4 bolts and wa-la. go with a 4:74 or something cuz a 4:10 will send you spinning again. and of course your gonna have to fab up some motor mounts. well thas all i can think of. .. does anyone know if you have to get a raised hood for this?? cuz i know u do on rx7's and stuff when u drop in this huge of a motor.
