Venus Prices?

i was looking through venus' website, looking at the rb25s they have, and none of them have prices. they all say to call. i dont realy want to call since i wouldnt be buying for quite a while. does anyone know how much they charge for a rb25 front clip, and how much they charge for just the motor set? im guessing its somewhere around 3000-3500. ?

i got an email from them and the price was better than i thought. they gave me a price for a motor set that comes with harness ecu motor and trans, and it was a couple bills lower than 3k. not too bad in my opinion.

Hmm, front clips are always better because they ave everything you need. You still need the ignitior chip, IC and piping and a few other things. And a the R33 gauge cluster if ya want

Good luck getting a motor that has compression and actually holds it from them. I bought a "running" long block that made 15psi compression in all 6 and the leak down tests showed that it held 15% compression and was leakig out of the intake and exhaust valves in all 6 cylinders and the rings in 5 cylinders were bad. MAKE SURE THEY GIVE YOU TEST RESULTS BEFORE BUYING

its horor stories like that, that make me want to go through a local place that might cost more, but i will be able to see the selection and the test results with my own eyes. theres a motor retailer near me that i still have to check out. its not set in stone that im buying a motor from anyone. im just shopping and researching at the moment.

I trust what Nismo241 says...just make sure they give you the compression and leakdown numbers...if those check out good, you should be getting a good engine, not everything they get can be messed...can it?

I'm not pushing anyone away from venus, or bashing them, just posting my experience and recommending that people get test results. I would not buy anything else form them unless the new motor they are sending me is internally built, which it won't be, but make judgements on who to buy from, from more than one persons POV.

No, I was just messin...but that info will push people away. It's just experiences from different peepz. I've ordered from Venus twice. Got a perfect RB20DET clip a long time ago, and a horrible RB25DET clip when they said it was perfect. It had low compression, they forgot to ship out the LSD...and a few other things. Another friend got a Rb25 clip with bad mounts...they got replaced after about 2-3 months...some people get bad trannies etc... I just don't see why they don't have a screening process on their engines?

They don't screen cause they dont care. They don;t really pay **** for what they get, so they just send it out hoping for the best and then if it's bad they have the means to fix it. Which is why I felt comfortable ordering form them, other engine inporters such as yourself, get clips scarecly, if something goes wrong it'll take ages to get replacement parts, I could have my new motor already if I had shipped it out by now, but I"ve wasted over 6K on my car over the past 5 months, and that tends to break a jobless teenager living at home.
