What is the cost of doing a RB20DET swap?
Including all labor (I know it varies so est.) and other parts needed. Another question: What else would I have to buy to make the swap work? LSD, clutch, brake upgrade? Considering doing it to a '97 or '98 240SXSE. Any help would be appreciated

All these people asking what it runs to instal "X" motor into "Y" chassis need to get ahold of the shops doing the install for them and ask them. I could say that it runs $4000 and the shop doing the install could charge $5000. Go to your local speed shop and ask them if you arent doing the install yourself. It is really pointless to ask people in anothe state what it costs.

I have a RB25DET with stock brakes and upgraded rotors. I don't have any problems with them and the car has around 400 rwhp. Upgraded brakes are always a nice thing to have and I'll be upgrading them probably to Skyline brakes soon. Suspension - do as you please, the 240's handle great stock. Clutch - I will recommend that right away, just because you don't know how much of the stock clutch is left and it's much easier to replace with the engine out of the car.

u dont need custom mounts, its just a option. Use the R32 cross member and you wont need custom mounts.
The wiring isnt hard at all, there is a post here that is a basic step by step
No plug and play
There isnt as much AM support out there as the SR, but it isnt hard at all to find parts.

I think I may have found a website that has the SR20DET in different forms and HP, and Torque setups. They also seem to be sold at a reasonable price. Here is the site. http://www.ardperformance.com/
link to page where the engines are sold: http://www.ardperformance.com/cgi-bi...c.pl?serial=24
