Question bucket seat question

ok, searching didnt really help me

i know the main differences between recliner seats and solid seats, but im trying to decide which one to go with. i would feel safer with a solid seat, but im worried that i might not be as comfortable since i couldnt adjust it. and thats a bit of a problem with school being almost an hour away.

soo...i would like your collective opinions in this matter. also, i have been under the impression that a solid seat is required to enter semi-pro and up races and competitions....is that so?

thanks

the reclining seats that i've seat use bottom mount brackets and the buckets seats use side mount brackets. i can't say that this is true for all reclining and bucket seat though, just the ones i've seen.

Well you can adjust the angle of a bucket seat. The rails you purchase for the seat will have different height positions and the front and rear can be adjusted seperately. You pretty much get to deside the angle of your bucket seat. The only benefit I see of a reclineable seat is people can get into the back seat of your car from the driver side (if they are small enough they should be able to regardless) and if you actually get laid in the car you can lean it back. I usually dont use the recline function on my stock seats on my daily so I seriously doubt I would ever use it on the 240.

But then again a bucket is completely useless unless you drive your car hard through corners. Otherwise stock is good enough.

Depends on the material the padding is made out of. It can also adjust your seating position in small increments (angle of you spine really). I cant stand seats with a metal frame and no padding, my back/*** starts hurting after a while, but I have friends that like no padding.
