Gutted Interior: Please post Pics
Post your pics of your gutted interior.
Give any pointers when doing this.
What to keep what to throw out.
Opinions.
Share please!
edit: I will be replacing the carpet, but will drive the car without a carpet for a month or two. want to remove weight and stuff from the interior.

this is my old 240 that i gutted the trunk in. it was a s13 fb and i got rid of everything from the backseats back in because there was a bad leak in the hatch and ruined everything so i fixed the hatch then gutted and spray painted it.

yea same here. I dont see the point unless you have a cage. And even then i want full interior when i cage my car. There always exceptions tho. Henrys looks really nice and yuta old fastback was pretty cool. Both spent alot of time on it. Thats probably why.

I agree, I prefer a full interior
but for one of my cars I want to experiment. I will change carpet but before that, I wanted to remove some weight and stuff. And leave it without a carpet for a month or so. I want to remove that insulation/noise dampner ( stuck to the floor under the carpet) and other stuff.
please post some pics of gutted interiors!
i want to know what to expect! ! ! ! !
(cables and other stuff)
THANKS GUYS!

Really, everyone has their own preference. I dailyed my old ae86 and it was gutted, it wasnt that bad but I dont think I'll ever gut my daily again. If you expect the car to be intended more for track then do as you please lol. My s13 will most likely switch back and forth (between some interior and completely gutted lol). But from all the chassis and susp modifications it probably wont be comfortable with all the interior bs any way.
This isnt mine but I think it was done extremely clean.
I guess it comes down to how you view your car.
If you view your car similar to your house you probably want it comfortable with full interior and ac and such.
I view my s13 as a tool to help me become better, comfortability isnt a high priority with it to me. My daily on the other hand is an entirely different story.

^ I agree with you.
My daily is completely stock and in restoration process.
The car I am gutting is just an "experience car"
I want to experience doing this to a car, see what its like and decide from there.
I have taken the whole interior apart now. and will post pics later.

i like full interiors also but my old s13 was stripped and completely repaitined to match the body with the addition of a welded rear strut tower bar.
this is before the strut.
and this picture sucks, but it's of the strut.
