I just use the key to lift up the trunk. Either that or grab it from the bottom. My trunk lid is covered in Dynamat so the shocks are useless.

 

Does the dynamat work worth a damn? I have 2 rolls of Elemental Designs eDead v1^2 leftover from my first 240... Its butyl based, and pound for pound about 1/8 the cost of Dynamat. Dynamat is overpriced. My stereo makes my trunk lid and spoiler look like a whale tail when it really gets going... I'm thinking of putting expanding foam inside the ribs to stop them from vibrating against the lid, and add some rigidity to the trunk before laying some deadener down.

 

I don't know if it works, it was back there when I bought the car and I haven't had time to put my sub back in there. I do know that the stuff is heavy as *****.

 

i was thinking about adding the oem jdm 180 type x wing.. but i don't know.. i had a wing on my car before all the stupid hype and police attention and i took it off.

but wing and spoiler are two different things.

 

the type x is sexy.....

 

The Type-X would be ALOT sexier if the ends went all the way to the edge of the car instead of just the hatch.
