interior dyeing

Has anyone re-vinyled thier car? or re-dyed thier interior fabric? I'm thinking about buying this dye i found online supposed to be "professional dye" that doesn't "fad or crack" but now i cant find it not the point though as anyone dyed thier interior and are happy with the results and no dye ruboff or cracks or fading?

the beter thing is to sawp out an interior, dyeing is the cheap way but sometimes it can jsut be a gigantic mess, and youd be rather upset.

my friend did it in his rx7. he did a full black interior swap and used this regular interior dye, not the really cheap stuff but it turned out really really good. but he just did his carpets and and door stuff. he had it all out though used a bunch and then hosed it and let it dry in the sun, thats the only way i've heard of it turning out good.

ok i found my first test product it was the one i was talking about in the first comment. its from a company called VHT

"VHT Vinyl Dye for vinyl and carpeting restores or changes the color of any vinyl upholstery, seats and trim, or the short nap carpeting found in today's cars, boats and watercraft. It is ideal for use on stiff or pliable vinyl, simulated leather or plastic. VHT Vinyl Dye is not a paint but a true dye, which permanently changes the color of the substrate. It is extremely resistant to cracking or fading. Careful preparation is essential and all traces of dirt, silicone products, vinyl and rubber protectants, oils and greases must be removed. Incomplete preparation will not produce a satisfactory result. Warning: It is not suitable for use on cloth or fabrics.

VHT Vinyl & Plastic Prep is formulated for use as both a cleaner and surface preparation before dying or painting. It is safe for use on all vinyl and plastic. It easily removes skin oils and silicone based protectants."

ima place an order for some of this stuff with the prep, ill inform u guy how it turns out.
