You won't have any problems at all with them. Only thing is that if in the future you do buy the controller for it you'll need to reconnect that brown wire. I personally bought the controller because it automatically goes to a set position and I don't have to mess with it. I did originally have the brown wire mod and there are no problems with it.

Has anyone had any problems with their electronic boost controller after doing this? Mine turns off after I turn my headlights on, I'm wondering if this sleepy mods has anything to do with it

 

Hey Guys my sleepy eyes are really simple and I have full funtionality of everything, lights on all the way through the headlight travel, Full up, full down, NO cut wires, NO modifying the car, real simple, anybody wants pictures feel free to ask.

 

All you have to do is replace the retractable headlight fuse with a momentary contact switch, i personally fused the line, but its simple, fully operational, and you can remove it without any evidence of modifications. I actually learned it from a probe guy.

just snip the brown wire, and make sure the button's in before you double tap, not that hard..

 

i have a s13 silvia front and i'm gonna use that pop up button to be my fog light switch

ground the fog lights wire into the chassis. and connect the other wire for power thru the brown wire. on the stock pop up wiring harness up front, look for the brown wire and connect it to that. i got the idea from a friend and i searched it on zilvia

i have bricks, but i do plan on using that same concept when i get foglights.
for those of you that have bricks as well, you all know how crappy the light output is. well, a couple of my friends wanted to put relays on my headlights (from doing a lot of research on different cars) because headlights are.....headlights, just different wiring diagram. two relays for each headlight and gets its extra juice from the battery. it is still controlled by the headlight switch as normal, therefore it still functions as normal.

and wow omgwtfbbqorly! i'm gonna try to source out some 100w bulbs for brighter output. i currently have 55w, but still brighter than what it previously was.


240 guys, don't use relays for the headlights AND the fogs. if you're going to put relays on the headlights, don't put a relay on the fogs. you would have to upgrade your alternator to a nissan quest alternator (with slight modification) because that's a little too much power for the stock alternator to handle.

if you don't can't afford to buy relays from radio shack or something, another alternative would be to look inside the fuse box and look for the relay labeled FOG. if you don't have one, then.....yeah purchase one. about $13-14 for a pair.
