I'm 15...I'm sure all of you guys had some kind of financial help. I dno't see why someone would flame me over my first car getting helped with my parents..I could see a differential if it was like 20k..but it's 5.

And I also live 5-10 minutes from short pump.

no i had none....... i was into cars as a teen.... and i funded everything from day one.

if you have not been around this culture for a while.. its something you will not understand. like i said lol i don't care brother, just trying to save you some heat from those who ... well would be jealous. And to be honest... when someone gives you something, you tend to not respect it as much as when you work long hours to get it.

I'm sure he'll eventually pay his parents back?
and yeah, that's a pretty high budget for a 240.
I'm going to find a stock one for you, even though with that kind of budget you can buy one already swapped.

to change it, depends if you do it yourself or if you get someone to do it for you... it's about $700- $1300 (i think... my cousin did his for $500)

I like both. I like the torque from the KA, but I like how easy the SR is to maintain/upgrade.

You're going to get a lot of different replies with this kind of question. I'm a KA fan. The big misconception with these cars is that as soon as you get one, the KA motor is worthless. Honestly; any engine is as good as you can build it.

Of course there are going to be limitations to what an engine can produce but you may never get to that point. Anyway, with the KA vs SR, they've both got pros and cons.

Well I'm looking too get 250-300 whp torwards the peak of my car.. I do live in virginia haha, and it's gonna be a daily driver.

So basically, my question is which one would be a lot easier and cheaper too reach 300whp, and isn't it going to be kinda pricey to find a 240 with low miles on the KA?

... 66k original miles on a 95 s14 for 6k
or
buy an s13 sell, swap in the sr20, get used to that power, when you're about 18 years old, then upgrade it. you already have 200hp (estimate)... just add exhaust manifold, fmic, exhaust, body kit, stickers, hood scoop, roof scoop, lambo doors, and you have an easy 300hp
