okay i did a search and came up with 0 info. just wanted to see if you guys and gals could help me out. i just picked up my clip and when i got home i completely stripped everything. to my suprise i found alot of upgrades done to this car. from turbo to suspension to hidden gauges and boost controller. i was real happy. but i am concerned............................ .
first the car shows to have 28,808km on the gauge cluster. this throws up a concern that it is not the actual mileage. my question is, is there any way to match the motor to the car. via motor i.d. to chasis i.d. if any one knows how to check this or has any info on what i can do, please let me know. thanks all

 

serial numbers. they are coded. if you know how to read them you can find out a lot.

There should be a plate on the firewall and I think on the engine too designating the engine.

 

Such a clip can be a blessing and a curse at the same time. Free aftermarket parts but you have to realize that the motor was probably run pretty hard.

 

yes i have the plate fromt the firewall and i see the number on the motor. but there is nothing between the two that match. except that its asr20 and it came from plant W and the the tranny # matches. thats about all i see. thanks for the help guys.
