240 s13 vs. MKIII supra

I have been looking into getting a different car for a while and I think I have narrowed it down to 2 cars either the MKIII Supra or the 89-94 240 s13. I do like both of them and they are both about the same price range.
Now I do have a problem as I am a bigger guy (6'5" 300lbs). So now for the ??'s
Which would be bigger/more comfortable for me?
Which is more which handles better in stock or upgraded form?
Which would be more reliable?

Thanks for your opinions in advance.

at 6'5 you should stick with the truck

As for performance, I prefer the S chassis when compared to an old school supra. Then again, I havent driven a MKIII. Dey 2 uGly 4 MeE

As for the comfortability of the S13 for us tall guys (i'm 6'7), the steering wheel will literally sit between your knees, and if you get one with a sunroof, you might have to lean your head to the right a little while you drive. that, or slouch. i say might, because i am two inches taller, and two inches can be a big deal. just speaking from my personal experience. can't say about the supra though. good luck on your decision.

ok i just sold my mk3 and i own a 91 240sx

ok

240 can have sweet ground kits mk3 has none thats y i got rid of my supra dumb on my part i loved that thing

the supra is way more luxorius than the 240
power mirrors
7 way power seat
POWER WINDOWS
POWER LOCKS
8 speakers
i had a targa top chicks loved it
take of one of the cats i gets really loud sweet(yes htey come with 2 cats and a resignator)

supras are heavier but have way more horsepower potential

if u wanna go for looks i would say 240

being confortable and liking ur car and going fast supra

240 tach-around 115 i think

supra tach -at 160
and in my not modified supra just with ac disconnected got it to 150 and could have kept going AND IT WASNT THE TUBRO MODEL
LOL

240 is a cheap car and can get parts for it easier and cheaper then the supra

GO WITH THE SUPRA

both are awsome cars. i have a mkII supra and a 91 s13 i love both but if my supra was running correctly and such it would eat my s13. when i was driving the mkII a friend was in his eclips which was mildly modded and i still smoked him with a 25 year old car with 280k miles on it the supras are very nice but like said above parts are cheaper for the 240 and the supra is faster.

You should probably sit in both and then decide. You can take both cars to very high levels of performance so I wouldn't worry too much about which one can outperform the other. It will always come down to how deep your wallet goes. With that said, I am only 6' tall and I often wish the s13 had a little more head room when I have a helmet on. The Supra may have more room.

no sunroof is the way to go when i had a sunroof in my s14 i had to open it so i could fit with my helmet, im 6'7" and now i got a s14 with no sunroof and i fit fine with a helmet also i got a s13 coupe now with no sunroof and it feels similar to the s14 and i fit fine but i feel like i sit lower in the s14 then i do in the s13. as for supra i never liked them i always thought they were one of the most over rated cars out there but stock for stock it is faster then a 240sx.

but it dosnt take much for a 240 to out handle a supra so its up to you

Wow that is great to hear. I'm planning on buying an s14 soon, and hearing this from another 6'7 guy puts my mind at ease.

im 6'0 and my head barely clears my s14 roof (no sunroof) with a helmet at autox events. My hair rubs the headliner on my brothers s14 with sunroof. Seating position plays a huge role in headroom obviously. you need a balance of comfort and maneuverability.

Hmm.. yeah, now that I think about it, it took me a while at first to find a somewhat comfortable driving position in my s13 + sunroof. As stated above, I guess it just comes down to spending time in either car. Good luck bighroder. I feel for you on that one.

i am actually 6'7" to, But most people dont drive without shoes. And I never comb my hair so I will probably be hitting the roof. Dont you hate it when the headliner grabs ahold of your hair and pulls it.

hahaha that happens to me far too often. battosaii, how is it that you fit so easily in your s14? are you sitting in a stock seat? I PM'ed you about it earlier because i figured it didn't really relate to the topic, but now I think it'd benefit others to know. Please disregard the PM.

And Lilcoope7, How old are you? I was just wondering if the insurance was really high or not, for either one. I guess they could charge to much even if i drove a festiva. It sucks being 16. Also I live in a little town in the middle of Michigan so There isnt a whole lot of 240's or MkIII just layin around the 240 I found is in Illinous.

Also what did you MKIII have in it for a motor?

yea stock seat i dunno i put the seat all the way back and got a aftermarket steering wheel with a spacer but i make the seat lean back enough to clear the rood with the helmet but with a sunroof even that isnt enough.

also a s13 cost more to insure then a s14 because of the lack of airbags in a s13
trust me i got 2 s14 and 1 s13 lol
