I have a quick question which may seem stupid to you guys because most of you are pros at these cars. I did a search but didnt get what I was looking for.

My friend just bought a used 240 from someone in a classified ad. Only to find out a few days ago it has no light bulbs in the headlights. No prob right?

She asked me what size bulbs she should get so I checked a Chilton's in Auto zone. Only when I got to see her car I look at the front and see that the previous owner did a conversion.

I know a little about the 240's and the Silvia's so I recognized it wasnt stock. I think these are the lights off of the S15 I wanna say.

Anyway Im not sure if the same bulbs would fit. When you guys do conversions do you also change the harnesses and bulbs or do you keep them the same?

 

i bet everyone 10 dollars that its a s13 conversion!

i dont know what size the bulb is because i dont have thos lights but yes they change the harness. just take the bulb out and go to the store and look for the one that looks the same. problem solved.

 

Nah Im pretty sure its the S15..I just found a pic of the lights in an old mag. One of Signal Auto's drift cars.

Problem is there are no bulbs to take to the store.

And near the harness the wires look soldered so Im thinking the harness has been changed.

The next best thing to do is cut one of the harnesses and take it with me to find the bulb and solder them back when im done.

I thought someone may know the bulb size off hand.

 

STFU...your homgrl just bought a 240 with S15 front end?...-_-;; watch...she got it for like $500 from some old asian lady who just disowned her son and his car was "in the way"...and uh...i have no idea what kinda bulbs for the S15....

It has a strawberry face?? Aw I want it! To put on a s13 fastback. No idea on the bulbs haha sorry. I also don't think someone sold off their 240 with s15 front.

 

show us pics to be sure.....if it's s13 silvia, then h3c bulbs. Search it on ebay. Might be h3. Show a pic of the housing so we can help you better ask sizzoo.....can't remember how to spell his name, but he had an s15 front

 

s15 headlights are H1 bulbs for lowbeam

 

Nah man she's not really a homegirl just someone in the nieghborhood. I dont know how much she paid for it really. I dont even think its a full conversion..I think they just changed the lights and fabbed the fenders to take them. who knows.

Anyway she got a hold of the guy who sold it and got the bulbs..H1 or H3 I think she said they were.
