240 in snowy climates

I live near Buffalo, New York and go to school near Erie, Pennsylvania, both areas which receive a lot of snowfall. I am somewhat concerned about a 240's ability to be useful year round in this weather. I have experience driving RWD in winter, but it is a large Mercedes sedan, not a small sporty coupe. Anybody out there drive their 240 in crappy weather? I am hoping that with snow tires and some sandbags in the back, I can survive, but this area routinely gets a lot of snow accumulated.

If you get some good snow tires you should have no problem gettin around. RWD isn't as good/safe as FWD in snow, and neither compare to AWD, but if you aren't a horrible driver you should be able to move about

HAHA!! well im from Brantford Ontario so i know all about the snow, and all i have to say is good and luck, even with snow tires your rear end will fly out on you every time, its really odd and hard to drive 30 km/h for me but in the winter you've got no choice..good luck and have fun!!

$70 a pease? a piece? lol. we need spellcheck up in here!

I just moved to NH with my 240, i'm planning on bumming rides with the family whenever it snows, because I know our cars will go nuts in snow.

This must be the 500th time someone asked this question.

Just don't accelerate too fast. Take it nice and slow and you won't die.
