is the 240/SR20DET for me?
I currently own a 90' Eclipse GS with a JDM turbo engine swap. I am pushing the the 450hp mark with a 60 trim t3/t4, 720s, 28X13X3.25 FMIC, clutch, walboro 255, AFC, quaife LSD, etc.... I am getting sick of FWD and have started researching the 240 w/ a SR20DET swap. here are my goals, tell me if you think this is a car for me... why or why not?
-BB 60-1 t3/t4
-supporting mods (fuel, cooling, exhaust, etc..)
-AEM standalone
-built bottom end
-suspension
-head work (springs/retainers, cams, porting, HG, studs)
-logging equipment
-nitrous?
this is going to be a street driven drag car, i am not big into autoX. can this car/engine do what i am looking for? should i stay with a DSM and go AWD?
now for my 240/SR20 Qs:
how are the trannies/drivetrain/rear end?
traction with slicks?
S13 or S14?
should i be looking at a RB series? which one?
how much do these cars weigh?
tell me why i should pick this car.
tell me why i should not pick this car.

1.)if you go with the RB, i believe you need a custom driveshaft and a R33 skyline differential and axles. if that's the case, you don't need to worry about any of them breaking from only 450hp.
2.)as far as traction goes, the rear wheel wells on s13s are enourmous- you could fit a giant rim under there. (i'm not sure if that's the case for s14s).
3.)i prefer the styling and tossability of the s13 over the s14. its really a matter of preference. the s13 will also be cheaper.
4.)if you want a street driven drag car, i definatly would recommend the RB25. talk to Night on this forum, he has one. the RB's bottom end is bulletproof, as it is from a skyline, and there is no replacement for displacement. with an RB, you will see much better 1/4 slips than with an AWD DSM, and it will break a lot less
5.) s13~ 2700lbs
6.)b/c it is hella fun. handling is amazing for its age and there are many options engine-wise. plus theres always drifting if you get bored

when it gets down to top fuel you talking extreme wieght reduction. those things barely even have drive shafts let alone an awd setup. any way the driver sits in the way of where the drive shaft to the front wheels would go.
