Hi all

I am new to the 240SX world ... I am interested in getting a 240SX ... i like the body style in year 95-98

All these talk about the S13,S14,s15 and engine swap is making my head spin. Could you tell me what these stand for, what i mean is what year these engine in the car ?? sorry for being sound so stupid

Could you guys tell me which is the best bang for the buck.

Future consideration i want to do to this car is
Your regular, Exhaust,header and fillter .. and a turbo .. i want to push around maybe 250 bhp max ..

I want to keep the car for awhile so i don't want to overstress the engine.

S13 89-94
S14 95-96
S15 97-Present. I think thats it.

 

If your in america, there wasnt a S15 here.

You wont have any problem getting 250hp w/ either a SR swap or a nice turbo setup on the KA24de.

OH, wait, plus those years where wrong:

S13 89-93 (coupe and hatch)
S13 94 Convertible only
S14 95-98


no more 240's after the 98. Japan kept producing, still does, the S14 till 1999, then 2000-present is the S15, which we dont get.

91-98. That I know for sure

the S14 stops at 98 and the S15 starts in 1999.



This is what some call the S14A or 97-98 240sx, she's my baby




Hope that helps a bit more.

 

And there are two versions of the S14 body style.
95-96 was called before M/C. M/C = Minor change
97-98 is picture above. They just have different front ends, just lights, fenders, hood + bumper. Same rear end on both.

For the rear ends being the same, that's false. The tail lights are quite bigger on the 95-96 models, where the lights are small squares.
