240sx SE or LE?
Sup guys, this is my first post and fairly new to this forum and have some what and aspect is what the s14/240 sx is and what it can do. My question is which is more preferred to buy, a 240sx SE or LE edition? I'm into the drifting scene and dont have a clue to which version of the car that most racers, choose. get whatever you can find first. its NOT like you are gonna have a choice between 10 models of 240s.

Yea ur rite bout that DRiften, not that much out there but then yea your rite. The only real source I have to look for cars is at autotrader.com. Jus wanna know if they have any ups or downs between these models.
SE is the most common one and also the one with the most options. I got an LE and it's pretty sweet, nice and comfy. Leather interior and power everything. However, LEs miss out on the possibility of the VLSD, HICAS, and the HUD,
there are special models of SE. which are Super Hicas Edition.

-Limited Slip Dif.
-4Wheel Steering. (which is alrite.. but has its ups and donws)
-Power windows..
-Power Locks
-Cloth seats
-CD Player !. yup. back in 1991. my 240 had a stock cd player.
-A ghetto antitheft system. quite annoying, but it did its job.

the hicas system itself is the steering of the rear wheels.
it only operates while driving and you cant see the rear wheels turn like the front ones. they turn very very little. but enough to have effect.
if you are in dodgeing cones, this is what you need
if you are in driftin, its better to shut the system down. (you dont want your rear wheels to turn while you are side ways. - out of expirience)
they sell the hicas eliminators for like $80.
so good luck.

I am in a similar situation to godigy, but If i get a 240 it will be all out Auto-x car, no interior, just two seats a stearingwheel and some gauges... So I should probably not pay any atention to the model ie se or le and justr wory about the apearence and shape the car is in, also is the hicas really that important, or does it juist ad weight?
Thanks for the responses guys but what Im looking for a 240 thats a daily driver/drift machine like everyone else in this board. IDK, Im prolly just getting the LE because its the version I see in www.autotrader.com
HICAS is only important if you plan on grip driving. But even then you can deal withoutit. As for having a straight drift or autoX car, just get the base version of the coupe with power nothing and no A/C. It'll be the ligthest of all the 240s and you'll be stripping it down more anyways. And just because autotrader shows LE doesn't mean it's the most common. Autotrader has this thing for combining both the LE and SE. LEs are the rare ones since they're the comfy once with power everything and leather interior. The most common ones would be the base models and the SEs.
