isnt a Ka-T more original than a SR? not saying i wouldnt mind having either, but turbo KA's are less seen than the SR redtop/blacktop's, but overall id choose the SR cause if your messing with a turbo on a N/A car, then your bound to lead to trouble, hell could blow up the engine, as where a SR you can get professional help from the many shops in cali

i mean here in cali every1 and their mother who has a 240 has the ka in it because they r 2 scared of putting in a sr because its illegal. the sr is a better motor over all and since its comming from japan its gonna have hella low miles on it because they have really strict rules there. since it already has a turbo its built to run the boost. w/ the ka you would have to strengthen up everything to run good boost and since you r going 2 be pushing it hard chances r high that you will f@!# up your block

SR swap much much cheaper than turboing KA. The turbo is the same price as the SR and youll get 50 hp thats still only 205hp SR, however SR is already a stock turbo and is a turbo car so will be able to handle turbo without having the build your engine. While the KA does get good power out of a turbo if you don't build your engine within a years time you'll blow a hole in your block wall even at 9 psi. So in the end you will have to spend much more money building your engine. Maybe thats the reason SR'
s are so "common" Secondly passing smog with SR is simple *** ****. especialy in Cali. Heres what you do go down to southgate or somewhere In La and if they don't pass your car offer them 50 bucks or so and bam you pass. Its done many many many many many many many times just try and make sure its a prodominatly mexican owned establishment. As for being illegal whats the problem do you know many cops who can detect illegal engines by sound??? If you get caught racing your cars gone anyway so whats it matter if your engine is "illegal" Get the SR swap unless you plan on spending at least 5,000 bucks on a turbo KA.

verry verry good points my friends but com'on if the KA-t is not as reliable and the SR is too common then go for the RB and be different while making a dickload more hp...

if i could i would but i dont got the money

PLUS! the skyline engine will pass smog without eny problems what so ever, even if by chance it doesnt then there is always the bribe option

Also people buy the SR because of the weight distribution, the KA iron block, SR aluminum. Ever see that 350z with the SR in it instead of the VQ? I think if i had the time and money i would go KA24DET instead of SR....No RB haha

You want a dickload of horsepower get a 2jze engine into that biatch you can get that engine up to 800-900 horsepower boosting 25psi you'll still have a street reliable car. You wanna drift go SR or you just want dickload of horsepower without hacing to invest 10,000 then go RB or KA.
