97 hood/headlights to 96?

Hi i'm looking for a 97 or 98 240 but they're few and far between in my area. I'm wondering how easy it would be to just get the 97 hood and headlights from a junkyard and swap them on a 96. Also if anyone has done this about how much would the parts cost?

You need at least the fenders and front bumper too.

Oh yeah, and just use a sledge hammer to get the fenders to line up with the lights. Ive never done it before, but I can tell just by looking at it that you need the fenders too.

I am buying the parts for this right now and can tell you that for bumper, headlights, corner lights, grill, hood, and fenders, it's gonna cost you at least 1500.

Obviously, if you can pick up some used stuff for cheap, it will be less, and if you want really good stuff you can expect to pay more.

search for your parts needed at

http://www.car-parts.com

online search engine for salvage yards.

you will NEED:
hood
bumper
headlights
cornerlights
fenders
upper bumper support bracket

things youll WANT:
bumper support
headlight brackets
grill

you can modify your existing headlight brackets, and you can always remove your bumper support (esp if using a FMIC)

my point was: zenki fenders and corner lights do not look bad with kouki hood, bumper, lights. and it will allow you to do the conversion in 2 stages, allowing you to drive, without your car looking like complete ****.

no love for the Zenki models at all. Damn!
I think they are both dope. Each get its respect from me.
14 Koukis just have nicer glass headlights.
(Spence hook them up w/ the sweet headlight conversion)

Hey I have just as much love for the Zenki as the next guy, but cmon man, the Kouki is just orgasmic. The lines just look fast, whereas the Zenki looks tame.
