? about parts swapping
? about parts swapping
I hear all the time about parts that can be taken from 1990+ 300ZX's, but what about pre-90 models? On any given day, I can go to a local junkyard and find at least 3 pre-90 300ZX's, and I want to know what, if any, parts can be swapped from one. No, I don't have a 240 yet, but I should by the end of the month, and I want to upgrade the brakes and get an LSD unit (to hold me off til I can afford the KAAZ unit). Plus, the older Z's had a 4-lug wheel pattern, so if it's the same lug pattern, wouldn't the brake swap be even easier?
Not to argue, just trying to reason this out, even if they're different model differentials, what's the huge difference? Clearance issues? Different output flanges? Different drive axle adapter?
Edit: BTW, what about the brake rotors? Isn't the Z31 a 4-lug pattern?
