Exclamation Added to the sleeper!!!

well, just the other day i got curious to what my car would look like with some bumper work to it.

well seeing that my bumper is all screwed up, i have nothing to worry about...

so here is the end result

98 240 bumper normal looks like this.

well after about 5 hours of bondo-ing and painting ( i have never used bondo before) this is the end result

sorry for the crappy picture at the end. i will post better one tonight.

i also decided to paint my intercooler piping black so you cant see it....wow does it look awesome
no performance difference either.
its pretty sweet

From the small picture it looks like you just cut out the center strut that is in front of your Intercooler. But anywho looks sweet. Cant wait to see a better pic!

yep, thats correct. cut out the center piece and made it easier for the FMIC to breath. also, i have notice a drastic improvement on cooling for the radiator.

not pictured - a small lip like piece that i made. it goes under the bumper to the intercooler so air cant go down the front of the intercooler. it either go through it or doesnt come close to it...now i just have to get the piece that goes on top the radiator cooling panel.

ok, well i photo chopped a pic before to see what it would look like. i decided that it was time to be risky and chop up the oem bumper. oh well

i think it looks good
you have to excuse the bugs, i live in the country and seriously washed my car yesterday!!! gross isnt it? there is a small line right in the middle because that keeps it from flexing under high speeds. i took a piece of speaker wire(18gauge) and put a washer on the bottum of it, pulled it through and tied it up. its stays nice and tight now with no flex.

the bondo job is not the greatest but hey, im not a pro at it so i can deal with it. also, you can see the new grill i got for super CHEAP!!! junk yard paid $30 thats it. its in perfect condition with the scrathes or anything.

ok here ya go

looks good it'd look awesome to completely flatten that area, but that prolly take fiberglass work.

my dad did body work for a living when he was younger. he said he would she me a thing or two so i can get it to look better.

im going to take that little point out on top and buttom and make it look way better.

not to mentio paint it the same color as my car. but you really cant tell beacuse its a small area.
Thanks for the compliments everyone. ill post some more as the progress gets along.

there's some company that makes a flat black coating for IC piping and the intercooler that actually helps the thermal effiecency (sp? big words...) might be Swain Tech, not sure though
